Crabbie’s Original Alcoholic Ginger Beer

Okay, I know Ginger Beer isn’t beer, but I’m going to review it anyway. I had never had tried Ginger Beer until my childhood and teenage years friend Ross introduced it to me. Ross’ parents were British and it’s certainly more popular in the U.K. than here. England’s Crabbie’s Original Alcoholic Ginger Beer for those of you that have never tried Ginger Beer is very sweet and has a strong taste of ginger. And for those of you that prefer Maryanne to Ginger, you will also enjoy this ginger. This might not be everyone’s cup of tea but I quite enjoyed it. This one is so sweet it would even make Crabby sweet.Yesterday would have been one of my best friends growing up Ross’s birthday, sadly he died way too young of Cystic Fibrous. Thanks to him for introducing me to ginger beer and being my friend and helping shape my youth, probably the coolest guy I ever met. So I raise a glass in honour of Ross. About My Beer a Day (or whenever I feel like it) Blog

Hello everyone, ever found yourself looking at the beers in the imported or specialty section, thinking to yourself, I wonder if that one is any good. Well I have started this blog giving my opinion on a variety different beers and hopefully I can help you out. I am a beer lover who enjoys trying different brands. I am by no means an expert, just a regular guy who enjoys sampling beers. I will be drinking different beers from around the world, one beer a day (at least most days), and commenting on them. I will drink each beer chilled from a chilled mug or glass (my personal preference) and then rate them. Most of the beers I am reviewing have been purchased from the LCBO or Beer Store in Ontario. Most beers will be 500 ml bottles or cans. If you are interested in trying any of the beers I have recommended, try your local LCBO, although some are only available for a limited time. At the moment I am concentrating on imported brands and occasionally I will be commenting on local specialty beers. I will not be commenting on big name brands such as Molson Canadian and Coors Light.

If you are looking for a place to tell you what beer goes best with a certain cheese or cavier, then move on this isn’t the place for you. If you think beer goes with Pizza and Chicken Wings, then welcome to my blog. And remember, friends don’t let friends drink Bud Light.
