Beer a Day Blog

My opinion on a variety of beers.

Grozet Gooseberry and Wheat

Another beer from the fine country of Scotland, couldn’t quiet put my finger, or taste buds on this one. Grozet Gooseberry and Wheat is slightly cloudy, less than you would expect from a wheat beer , although this one is probably filtered not unfiltered. No spice to this one, first sip has a bit of a bitter after taste, but that soon fades. Goes down actually quite smooth, something about the taste I wasn’t sure of, not that it was bad just something I wasn’t sure of, of course I have no idea what a gooseberry is let alone tastes like, so that is likely the flavour. Should you try it, I’d say yes, usually I am not a fan of fruit beers, but this one doesn’t taste fruity, so give it a go.

6.5/10
