Martens Pils
This one’s a bit different than what I have come to expect from a beer from Belgium, usually they are whites, blondes or fruity beers, not usually a Pilsner. Martens Pils is the first pilsner I’ve had from Belgium, the first thing that struck me was a bit of a metallic taste, maybe it was the can, but it was a bit unnerving. Once I got over that this isn’t too bad, a bit sweet tasting with a full flavour, it came in a pack of four, and I’m looking forward to other two, I know four minus one equals three, but my son took one. I would love to try one on tap or in a bottle, just to see if it normally has that metallic taste. Visited Belgium once, only passed through, maybe next time I’ll stop for a beer.
7.5/10
