Beer a Day Blog

My opinion on a variety of beers.

Hockley Black and Tan

‘Day follows night’, this beer from Canada bills itself as a ‘Traditional Black and Tan’. Hockley Black and Tan, from the Hockley Valley Brewery located in southern Ontario’s ski region. A black and tan is a combination of stout and ale. Well the stout or dark flavour is very prominent, there really is no ale flavour, tastes like any other dark to me. Strong coffee like taste with a hint of cocoa. It’s okay, not really one of the best of this style. Try it if you want.
