Beer a Day Blog

My opinion on a variety of beers.

Abbot

Abbot is a bitter from Greene King Brewery who also brings you such beers as Old Speckled Hen and Greene King IPA. This is a traditional bitter from England. dark, almost red in colour, this beer has a very bitter taste, not bad but not great either. If you like a dark bitter or red style beer you will probably like this one. If you like it lighter tasting avoid. Not really my cup of tea, or mug of beer as it would be.  Not a monastery I would want to join.

7/10

  1. Greene King plc is a one of the largest British owned breweries in the UK. The company also owns pubs and hotels. The company owns the brand of beer called “Old Speckled Hen”. I saw the picture beermats (coasters) on the site: http://www.beermat.webnode
