Beer a Day Blog

My opinion on a variety of beers.

Kilkenny Cream Ale

This ale from Ireland starts out strong. Kilkenny Cream Ale has a nitrogen ‘widget’ that creates a very interesting pour, watching the foam slowly dissipate as the beer reveals a rich dark ruby colour is quite entertaining. The taste is average, a bit watery with a bit of a bitter after taste. Not really one I would rush out for. And now for an Old Irish toast “May your glass be ever full. May the roof over your head be always strong. And may you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows you’re dead.” I’ve recently had a few of these and decided to rethink my rating, Kilkenny is actually quiet smooth and I would have another. A decent cream ale.

7.5/10
