France is not a country that usually springs to mind when you think of beer, Kronenbourg 1664 is brewed in Strasbourg in the Alsace Region in north east France, very close to the German border. 1664 refers to the year the brewery was granted it’s brewing licence. I liked this one, it is on the lighter side when it comes to taste. More of a thirst quencher than one to be savoured but it was good. I find this beer type typical of the latin countries of Europe. Anyway you want to try a beer from France then check this one out. Like the coneheads it comes from France, for you old enough to know what I’m talking about.
