Bellhaven Best
You have to have a lot of confidence to call yourself ‘best’. Scotland’s number one pub ale may not be the ‘best’, but it is very good. They also call themselves ‘the pint for all occasions’ , the occasion I decided to celebrate was a beautiful unseasonably warm day here in Whitby. Threw some burgers on the BBQ and enjoyed a pint. Upon opening the first thing that strikes you is the sound of nitrogen as the ‘widget’ is released. It pours with a lot of foam that settles nicely, dark in colour and very smooth, Bellhaven Best is very enjoyable and smooth, it is definitely worth a try, the only thing better than drinking it on my patio would have been at a pub in Scotland.
