Bavaria 8.6
I have mentioned this before but I’ll remind everyone, Bavaria is from the Netherlands not Bavaria. Well Bavaria 8.6 should be ashamed to align itself with Bavaria. This beer is a strong blond with 7.9% alcohol, although a strong blonde with alcohol may be a good thing, but not in this case. First sip not too bad, a slightly sweet taste, but then it hits you like a Dion Phaneuf body check (hockey starts tonight), the alcohol taste is overwhelming. Really this is something the homeless might like, so if all you want is high alcohol to get a quick cheap drunk then go ahead. For the rest of you avoid! On another note if you’ve noticed a similarity in pictures lately, they were taken in my backyard on my patio.

About My Beer a Day (or whenever I feel like it) Blog
Hello everyone, ever found yourself looking at the beers in the imported or specialty section, thinking to yourself, I wonder if that one is any good. Well I have started this blog giving my opinion on a variety different beers and hopefully I can help you out. I am a beer lover who enjoys trying different brands. I am by no means an expert, just a regular guy who enjoys sampling beers. I will be drinking different beers from around the world, one beer a day (at least most days), and commenting on them. I will drink each beer chilled from a chilled mug or glass (my personal preference) and then rate them. Most of the beers I am reviewing have been purchased from the LCBO or Beer Store in Ontario. Most beers will be 500 ml bottles or cans. If you are interested in trying any of the beers I have recommended, try your local LCBO, although some are only available for a limited time. At the moment I am concentrating on imported brands and occasionally I will be commenting on local specialty beers. I will not be commenting on big name brands such as Molson Canadian and Coors Light.
If you are looking for a place to tell you what beer goes best with a certain cheese or cavier, then move on this isn’t the place for you. If you think beer goes with Pizza and Chicken Wings, then welcome to my blog.
