Karlovačko
This is my second beer from Croatia, I found my first pretty good. I guess it’s true you always remember your first. Karlovačko is very typical Eastern European style pilsner. A nice straw colour, with that full bodied taste you would expect, slight hint of bitterness, but overall a pretty good beer. The best in this style, no, but none the less a beer worth a try. This ones pretty popular in Croatia, so if you don’t want to listen to me then you can listen to the people of Croatia (Republika Hrvatska). The label features the red and white checked pattern reminiscent of their flag and Coat of Arms. First time I’ve seen this one so don’t hestitate and give one a try, unless you have a trip planned to Croatia in the future.

About My Beer a Day (or whenever I feel like it) Blog
Hello everyone, ever found yourself looking at the beers in the imported or specialty section, thinking to yourself, I wonder if that one is any good. Well I have started this blog giving my opinion on a variety different beers and hopefully I can help you out. I am a beer lover who enjoys trying different brands. I am by no means an expert, just a regular guy who enjoys sampling beers. I will be drinking different beers from around the world, one beer a day (at least most days), and commenting on them. I will drink each beer chilled from a chilled mug or glass (my personal preference) and then rate them. Most of the beers I am reviewing have been purchased from the LCBO or Beer Store in Ontario. Most beers will be 500 ml bottles or cans. If you are interested in trying any of the beers I have recommended, try your local LCBO, although some are only available for a limited time. At the moment I am concentrating on imported brands and occasionally I will be commenting on local specialty beers. I will not be commenting on big name brands such as Molson Canadian and Coors Light.
If you are looking for a place to tell you what beer goes best with a certain cheese or cavier, then move on this isn’t the place for you. If you think beer goes with Pizza and Chicken Wings, then welcome to my blog.
